Korelasi Panjang dan Lebar Lengkung Gigi terhadap Posisi Anteroposterior Bibir pada Maloklusi Klas I Non Ekstraksi

Abstract

Background: The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the anteroposterior position of the lips against changes in the length and width of the dental arch in Class I malocclusion non extraction. Materials and Methods: The sample was 30 patients PPDGS Orthodontic clinic of FKG USU. The sample used was 30 before treatment study models, 30 after treatment study models, 30 before treatment lateral cephalometric photograph, and 30 after treatment lateral cephalometric photograph. The study was conducted by measuring the width of interpremolar, intermolar and arch length of study models and the position of the upper lip and lower lip to e-line of lateral cephalometric photograph. The data was processed with SPSS and data normality was tested by Mann Whitney test. Results: There is no correlation statistically between the before and after treatment of anteroposterior lip position against changes in the length and width of the dental arch before and after treatment. Conclusion: There is no correlation between the anteroposterior lip position against changes in the length and width of the dental arch in Class I malocclusion non extraction.

Latar Belakang: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi antara posisi anteroposterior bibir terhadap perubahan panjang dan lebar lengkung gigi pada maloklusi Klas I non ekstraksi. Bahan dan Cara: Sampel penelitian ini adalah 30 orang pasien klinik PPDGS Ortodonti FKG USU. Sampel yang digunakan merupakan 30 model studi sebelum perawatan, 30 model studi setelah perawatan, 30 foto sefalometri lateral sebelum perawatan, dan 30 foto sefalometri lateral setelah perawatan. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pengukuran lebar interpremolar, intermolar, dan panjang lengkung dari model studi dan posisi bibir atas dan bibir bawah terhadap e-line dari foto sefalometri lateral. Data diolah dengan SPSS dan normalitas data diuji dengan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil: Tidak terdapat korelasi secara statistik antara posisi anteroposterior bibir atas dan bibir bawah sebelum dan setelah perawatan terhadap lebar dan panjang lengkung gigi sebelum dan setelah perawatan. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat korelasi antara posisi anteroposterior bibir terhadap perubahan panjang dan lebar lengkung gigi pada maloklusi Klas I non ekstraksi.
