Efektivitas Cendawan Mikoriza Arbuskula pada Beberapa Tingkat Pemberian Kompos Jerami terhadap Ketersediaan Fosfat serta Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Padi Gogo di Tanah Ultisol

Abstract

Effectivity of Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizal at some level giving of rice straw compost to availibility of phosphate, growth and production of upland rice on Ultisol soil. Upland rice productivity farming on Ultisol soil still low. CMA and rice straw compost can solved the problems. This research conducted at Research Station of Pasar Miring, District of Deli Serdang, North Sumatra Province, from Februay - June 2008. This research aim was to study CMA effectivity at some level giving of rice straw compost in improving the availibility of phosphate fertilizer, production and rice growth in Ultisol soil. The research used Factorial Complete Randomized Design; consist of two factors and three replications. First factor consist of 4 level giving of CMA (0; 7.5; 15; and 22.5 g pot-1), and second factors consist of 4 level giving of rice straw compost ( 0; 25; 50; and 75 g pot-1). The results of research indicate that CMA has significant influence in improving available P and dry wight of rice straw, but has not significant of rice production. Rice straw compost has significant influence in improving available P, dry wight rice straw, and rice production. CMA and rice straw compost have significant influence in improving available P, dry wight of rice straw, and rice production. The highest rice production in dose 15 g pot-1 CMA and 75 g pot-1 rice straw compost. Effectivity of CMA to available P in dose 7.5 g pot-1 till 22.5 g pot-1 increasing at the height of dose rice straw compost till 75 g pot-1. The dry wight of rice straw, effectivity of CMA at dose 22.5 g pot-1 creasing at the height of rice straw compost till 75 g pot-1. Effectivity of CMA highest to available P, dry wight of rice straw, and rice production is in dose 15 g pot-1 CMA and 75 g pot-1 rice straw compost.

Padi gogo yang ditanam pada tanah Ultisol, produktivitasnya masih rendah. Pemberian CMA dan kompos jerami dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektifitas CMA pada beberapa tingkat pemberian kompos jerami dalam meningkatkan ketersediaan fosfat serta pertumbuhan dan produksi padi gogo di tanah Ultisol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di rumah kasa Kebun Percobaan Pasar Miring, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara, dari bulan Februari sampai dengan Juni 2008. Rancangan yang digunakan faktorial dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap, terdiri dari dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama terdiri dari 4 taraf pemberian CMA (0; 7,5; 15; dan 22,5 g pot-1) dan faktor kedua terdiri dari 4 taraf pemberian kompos jerami (0; 25; 50; dan 75 g pot-1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh CMA nyata meningkatkan P tersedia dan bobot kering jerami, tetapi tidak nyata terhadap produksi. Pengaruh kompos jerami nyata meningkatkan P tersedia, bobot kering jerami, dan produksi. Interaksi CMA dan kompos jerami nyata meningkatkan P tersedia, bobot kering jerami, dan produksi. Produktivitas padi tertinggi pada dosis 15 g pot-1 CMA dan 75 g pot-1 kompos jerami. Efektivitas CMA terhadap P tersedia pada dosis 7.5 g pot-1 sampai 22.5 g pot-1 meningkat dengan bertambah dosis kompos jerami hingga 75 g pot-1. Terhadap bobot kering jerami, efektivitas CMA pada dosis 22.5 g pot-1 menurun dengan bertambahnya dosis kompos jerami hingga 75 g pot-1. Efektivitas CMA tertinggi terhadap P tersedia, bobot kering jerami, dan produksi adalah pada dosis 15 g pot-1 CMA dan 75 g pot-1 kompos jerami.
