dc.description.abstractImpregnation of Polyvinyl Chloride modified using acrylic acid, benzoic peroxide, and Tetra Hydro Furan (THF) into Oil Palm Wood (OPW), depth of OPW resulted of mechanical OPW was increased. Impregnation process conduct on condition of pressure, temperature, and time are optimum. The result of OPW impregnation was carried out using Mechanical Test, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and X-ray for impregnated OPW specimen. The result has shown that mechanical strength of impregnate OPW resin with Polyvinyl Chloride increased. Polyvinyl Chloride resin in OPW specimen function as filter and binder among the wood fibers.en_US
dc.description.abstractImpregnasi larutan polivinil klorida komersial (PVC), yang dimodifikasi dengan asam akrilat, benzoil peroksida dan pelarut tetra hidrofuran (THF), kedalam KKS mengakibatkan sifat mekanis KKS bertambah. Proses impregnasi dilakukan dimana kondisi tekanan, suhu dan waktu yang optimum. KKS hasil impregnasi diamati rnenggunakan Uji Sifat Mekanis, Mikroskopi Elektron Payaran (SEM), Analisis Termal Diferensal (DTA), Spektroskopi Infra Merah Fourier Transform (FTIR) dan sinar X-ray dari spesirnen KKS terimpregnasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan KKS terimpregnasi resin polivinil klorida meningkat. Resin polivinil klorida didalam spesimen KKS berfungsi sebagai pengisi dan pengikat antara serat kayu,en_US
