Isolasi Sosial Yang Dialami Lansia Pada Masa Pandemi Covid 19 di HKBP Gedung Johor. Medan

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is a disease that can cause death. Covid-19 is very vulnerable to attack the elderly because the immunity of the elderly, and various kinds of congenital diseases that the elderly already have are the driving factors for this virus to become a serious threat to society, especially the elderly. The implementation of the new normal rules in various places, specifically at the HKBP Johor Building Church by applying special rules for the elderly, such as the prohibition of worshiping in houses of worship for elderly people who are prone to contracting disease, as well as people with congenital diseases who are at high risk of Covid-19, this makes the elderly isolate themselves and worship independently at home. The purpose of this study was to find out how the social isolation for the elderly due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation at the HKBP Gedung Johor Church and to find out what efforts that are made to increase the religiosity of the elderly due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation at the HKBP Johor Church, Medan Johor sub-district, Medan. The method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive approach, where data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the elderly who isolated themselves due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation and with the enactment of new normal rules at the HKBP Johor Church caused the elderly to feel lonely because the elderly were less involved in social interactions and social activities that they usually do in organizations and in the elderly community at church. Even though in a situation of self-isolation, elderly stay to make efforts to continue to improve their religiosity by worshiping using event paper or by participating in online worship

Pandemi Covid-19 merupakan sebuah penyakit yang dapat menyebabkan kematian. Covid-19 sangat rentan menyerang lansia dikarenakan imunitas lansia dan beberbagai macam penyakit bawaan yang sudah dimiliki lansia merupakan faktor pendorong Virus ini menjadi ancaman yang serius bagi masyarakat khususnya lansia. Diterapkannya aturan new normal diberbagai tempat secara khusus di Gereja HKBP Gedung Johor dengan menerapkan aturan khusus bagi lansia yaitu adanya larangan beribadah di rumah ibadah warga lanjut usia yang rentan tertular penyakit, serta orang dengan penyakit bawaan yang berisiko tinggi terhadap Covid-19.Dimana peraturan ini membuat lansia tersebut mengisolasi diri dan beribadah secara mandiri di rumah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana isolasi sosial lansia akibat situasi pandemi Covid-19 di gereja HKBP gedung johor dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya peningkatan religiusitas lansia akibat situasi pandemi Covid-19 di gereja HKBP gedung johor, kecamatan Medan johor. Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa lansia yang mengisolasi diri akibat situasi pandemi Covid-19 dan dengan diberlakukannya aturan new normal di gereja HKBP Gedung johor menyebabkan lansia merasa kesepian karena lansia kurang terlibat pada interaksi sosial dan aktivitas sosial yang biasa mereka lakukan dalam organisasi dan komunitas lansia di gereja tersebut. Meskipun dalam situasi mengisolasi diri, lansia tetap melakukan upaya untuk tetap meningkatkan religiusitas mereka dengan cara beribadah menggunakan kertas acara atau dengan cara mengikuti ibadah secara online
