    Daya Tumbuh Bibit Kelapa Sawit di Pre Nursery dengan Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit yang Terdekomposisi Bakteri Simbion Larva Oryctes rhinoceros Linn (Coleoptera: Scarabidae)

    Abstract
    Kartigen. 2021. “Daya Tumbuh Bibit Kelapa Sawit Di Pre nursery Dengan Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit Yang Terdekomposisi Bakteri Simbion Larva Oryctes Rhinoceros Linn (Coleoptera:Scarabidae)” dibimbing oleh Marheni dan Darma Bakti. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi bakteri simbion O. rhinoceros sebagai pendekomposer tandan kosong kelapa sawit dan mengetahui tingkat pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit di pre nursery pada media tanam hasil proses dekomposisi tandan kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilakukan di rumah kaca Balai Besar Perbenihan dan Proteksi Tanaman Perkebunan (BBPPTP) Medan dan perbanyakan bakteri simbion larva kumbang tanduk di Laboratorium Penyakit Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan pada Januari- Mei 2021. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan dan 3 Blok. Faktor pertama yaitu jenis bakteri aktivator terdiri dari 7 taraf, yaitu: tanpa bakteri aktivator, Bacillus stratosphericus 50 ml/kg, Bacillus stratosphericus 75 ml/kg, Bacillus stratosphericus 100 ml/kg, Bacillus siamensis 50 ml/kg, Bacillus siamensis 75 ml/kg dan Bacillus siamensis 100 ml/kg. Faktor kedua yaitu waktu dekomposisi terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu 5 minggu dan 7 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bakteri simbion larva O. rhinoceros dengan perbedaan dosis dan waktu dekomposisi dalam proses dekomposisi tandan kosong kelapa sawit berpengaruh nyata meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit di pre nursery . Jenis dan dosis bakteri simbion larva yang memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan adalah B. siamensis 50 ml/kg tandan kosong kelapa sawit. Waktu dekomposisi yang memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan adalah 5 minggu. Interaksi B. siamensis 50 ml/kg tandan kosong kelapa sawit dengan waktu dekomposisi 5 minggu menghasilkan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit terbaik di pre nursery.

"Growth of Oil Palm Seedlings in Pre nursery Using Oil Palm Empty Bunches Decomposed of Oryctes rhinoceros Linn Larva Symbiont (Coleoptera: Scarabidae) " supervised by Marheni and Darma Bakti. This study aims to determine the potential of the symbiont bacteria O. rhinoceros as decomposers of oil palm empty bunches and determine the growth rate of oil palm seedlings in the pre-nursery on planting media resulting from the decomposition of oil palm empty bunches. This research was conducted in the greenhouse of Plant Seedling and Plant Protection Center (BBPPTP), Medan and the propagation of horn beetle larva symbiont bacteria at the Disease Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, Medan in January-May 2021. The study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD), with 2 treatment and 3 replications. The first factor is the type of activator bacteria consisting of 7 levels, namely: without activator bacteria, Bacillus stratosphericus 50 ml/kg, Bacillus stratosphericus 75 ml/kg, Bacillus stratosphericus 100 ml/kg, Bacillus siamensis 50 ml/kg, Bacillus siamensis 75 ml/kg and Bacillus siamensis 100 ml/kg. The second factor is the decomposition time consisting of 2 levels, namely 5 and 7 weeks. The results showed that the use of larva symbionts of O. rhinoceros with different doses and time of decomposition in the decomposition process of oil palm empty bunches significantly increased the growth of oil palm seedlings in the pre-nursery. The type and dose of larva symbiont bacteria that gave the best effect on growth was B. siamensis 50 ml/kg oil palm empty bunches. The decomposition time that gave the best effect on growth was 5 weeks. The interaction of B. siamensis 50 ml/kg oil palm empty bunches with a decomposition time of 5 weeks resulted in the best growth of oil palm seedlings in the pre-nursery.
