"Characterization of mangrove habitat based on zoning and identification of biochemical components of mangrove fruit", guided by Mohammad Basyuni and Chairani Hanum. This study aims to characterize the mangrove habitat of each observation zone by measuring the physical and chemical quality of the mangrove habitat and to identify the biochemical components of mangrove fruit found in each zone, including; nutrient content, antioxidants, and elemental analysis (micronutrients and macronutrients) in fifteen selected mangroves A. auriculiformis, B. asiatica, C. equestifolia, H. tiliaceus, L. littorea, L. racemosa, M candidum, M. citrifolia, N. Fruticans, P. odoratatissima, P. pinnata, S. hydrophyllacea, S. portulacastrum, S. jamaicensis, and T. catappa in Pulau Sembilan and Lubuk Kertang Village, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted in September 2020 – April 2021. The results of the characterization of mangrove habitats show that each observation zone has different physical and chemical characteristics of mangrove habitat, including temperature, pH, salinity and dissolved oxygen (DO). Based on the analysis of the identification of the biochemical components of mangrove fruit consisting of seven nutritional parameters, A. auriculiformis had the highest protein content among all species studied, then the highest fat content was P. pinnata, total sugar and nonreducing sugar P. odoratatissima, reducing sugar. M. citrifolia, water content of B. asiatica and proximate analysis of L. littorea. Based on antioxidant analysis, it is known that P. odoratatissima has the highest ascorbic acid content, M candidum has the highest beta-carotene content and B. asiatica has the highest phenolic content. Based on macronutrient analysis, it was seen that L. racemosa had the highest sodium content, N. fruticans the highest potassium, S. jamaicensis had the highest calcium content. Likewise, the highest micronutrient elements among mangroves are S. portulacastrum (iron), H. tiliaceus (manganese) and copperen_US

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakteristasi habitat mangrove dari setiap zonasi pengamatan dengan pengukuran kualitas fisik, kimia habitat mangrove dan untuk mengidentifikasi komponen biokimia pada buah mangrove yang terdapat pada setiap zonasi antara lain; kandungan nutrisi, antioksidan, serta analisis unsur (mikronutrien dan makronutrien) pada lima belas buah mangrove pilihan A. auriculiformis, B. asiatica, C. equestifolia, H. tiliaceus, L. littorea, L. racemosa, M candidum, M. citrifolia, N. Fruticans, P. odoratatissima, P. pinnata, S. hydrophyllacea, S. portulacastrum, S. jamaicensis, and T. catappa di Pulau Sembilan dan Desa Lubuk Kertang, Kabupaten Langkat, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan September 2020 – April 2021. Hasil karakterisasi habitat mangrove menunjukkan bahwa setiap zonasi pengamatan memiliki karakteristik fisik, kimia habitat mangrove yang berbeda, meliputi suhu, pH, salinitas dan oksigen terlarut (DO). Berdasarkan hasil analisis indentifikasi komponen biokimia dari buah mangrove yang terdiri dari tujuh parameter nutrisi, A. auriculiformis memiliki kandungan protein tertinggi di antara semua spesies yang diteliti, selanjutnya kandungan lemak tertinggi P. pinnata, gula total dan gula non reduksi P. odoratatissima, gula pereduksi M. citrifolia, kadar air B. asiatica dan analisis proximat L. littorea. Berdasarkan analisis antioksidan diketahui P. odoratatissima memiliki kandungan asam askorbat tertinggi, M candidum dengan kandungan betacaroten tertinggi dan B. asiatica tertinggi pada fenolik. Berdasarkan analisis makronutrien terlihat bahwa L. racemosa memiliki kadar natrium tertinggi, N. fruticans sebagai kalium tertinggi, S. jamaicensis memiliki kadar calsium tertinggi. Demikian juga unsur mikronutrien tertinggi di antara buah mangrove S. portulacastrum (besi), H. tiliaceus (mangan) dan tembaga.en_US
