    Pengembangan Alat Pencabut Singkong (Manihot esculenta Crantz) dengan Sistem Pneumatik

    Abstract
    Harvesting cassava using a semi-mechanical cassava extractor still utilizes human power and small work capacity. The purpose of this study was to develop and test a cassava extractor with a pneumatic system on cassava plants. The method used in this study is an experimental method which means directly in the field, testing the tool by observing the research parameters, designing the shape and assembling the components of the tool. This tool consists of a pneumatic cylinder with a diameter of 40 mm, 5/3 pneumatic hand valve, tube, 10 bar pressure compressor, 40x40x2 mm hollow iron and 10 cm diameter wheels. This tool has a length of 100 cm, a width of 60 cm and a height of 95 cm. The results of the data at the time of the study by testing the working capacity of this tool were 1238,059 kg/hour or 17,571 hours/ha, the percent damage to cassava was 3,529%, fuel consumption was 4,662 l/hour or 7,428 l/ha and the basic cost was 11,324 Rp/kg.

Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental yang artinya langsung di lapangan, melakukan pengujian alat dengan mengamati parameter penelitian, merancang bentuk dan merangkai komponen alat. Alat ini terdiri atas silinder pneumatik dengan diameter 40 mm, 5/3 hand valve pneumatik, tube, kompresor bertekanan 10 bar, besi hollow 40x40x2 mm dan roda berdiameter 10 cm. Alat ini memiliki ukuran panjang 100 cm, lebar 60 cm dan tinggi 95 cm. Hasil data pada saat dilakukannya penelitian dengan pengujian kapasitas kerja alat ini sebesar 1238,059 kg/jam atau 17,571 jam/ha, persen kerusakan singkong 3,529 %, konsumsi bahan bakar 4,662 l/jam atau 7,428 l/ha dan biaya pokok 34,248 Rp/kg.
