    Uji Pulley pada Alat Pengurai Sabut Kelapa Secara Mekanis sebagai Alat Penghasil Serbuk Cocopeat

    Abstract
    The mechanical decomposing tool for coconut coir is a tool designed to be able to break down coconut coir into a fine powder (cocopeat). In this research, Pulley testing aims to determine the correct pulley in the decomposition process of coconut husk to produce cocopeat. The largest effective capacity of the tool was obtained in the treatment with a diameter of 5 inches Pulley, which was 4.752 kg/hour, while the smallest tool capacity value was obtained in the treatment with a diameter of 8 inches Pulley which was 1.881 kg/hour. For fuel consumption, the maximum size is found in the treatment, the diameter of the Pulley is 5 inches, which is 2,026 liter/hour, while for fuel consumption the least is found in the treatment, the diameter of the Pulley is 3 inches, which is 1,207 liter/hour. The yield produced was mostly found in the treatment with the diameter of the Pulley 3 inches, which was 48,83 %, while the yield produced was at least in the treatment with the diameter of the Pulley 8 inches, which was 42,67 %.
     
    Alat pengurai sabut kelapa secara mekanis merupakan alat yang dirancang agar dapat mengurai sabut kelapa menjadi bentuk serbuk yang halus (cocopeat). Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian Pulley bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pulley yang tepat dalam proses penguraian sabut kelapa menghasilkan cocopeat. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap non faktorial. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan ukuran diameter Pulley 3, 5, dan 8 inci. Parameter yang diteliti adalah kapasitas efektif alat, konsumsi bahan bakar, rendemen dan kehalusan cocopeat yang dihasilkan. Kapasitas efektif alat terbesar diperoleh pada perlakuan ukuran diameter Pulley 5 inci yaitu sebesar 4,752 kg/jam sedangkan nilai kapasitas alat terkecil diperoleh pada perlakuan ukuran diameter Pulley 8 inci yaitu sebesar 1,881 kg/jam. Untuk konsumsi bahan bakar paling banyak terdapat pada perlakuan ukuran diameter Pulley 5 inci yaitu sebesar 2,026 liter/jam sedangkan untuk konsumsi bahan bakar paling sedikit terdapat pada perlakuan ukuran diameter Pulley 3 inci yaitu sebesar 1,207 liter/jam. Rendemen yang dihasilkan paling banyak terdapat pada perlakuan ukuran diameter Pulley 3 inci yaitu sebesar 48,83 % sedangkan rendemen yang dihasilkan paling sedikit terdapat pada perlakuan ukuran diameter Pulley 8 inci yaitu sebesar 42,67 %.
