Skripsi yang berjudul ‘Improving Student’s Listening Skill through Bingo Game: A Classroom Action Research at Fifth Grade Students in Sidomulyo’ ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tentang peningkatan keterampilan mendengarkan siswa melalui permainan bingo. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) digunakan sebagai metode penelitian untuk mengatasi masalah siswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris terutama dalam hal mendengarkan. Desain Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang digunakan dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini terdiri dari empat tahap dalam setiap siklus: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Dalam memperoleh hasil, ada dua jenis pengumpulan data: data kualitatif (pengamatan dan wawancara) dan data kuantitatif (pra-tes dan pasca-tes). Dalam menganalisis data, analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistik digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil implementasi permainan bingo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan permainan bingo meningkatkan skor siswa dan respon mereka baik. Respons siswa dapat dilihat melalui pengamatan dan wawancara yang dilakukan. Pengamatan membuktikan bahwa siswa tertarik untuk mengikuti kegiatan permainan bingo. Selain itu, wawancara menunjukkan ketertarikan mereka untuk belajar mendengarkan melalui permainan bingo. Sebagai tambahan, peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa dibuktikan setelah tes pada setiap siklus (pra-tes, pasca-tes I, dan pasca-tes II) dilaksanakan: nilai rata-rata siswa pada pra-tes adalah 57,25, nilai rata-rata pada pasca-tes II adalah 75 yang mana peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa pada pra-tes dan pasca-tes II adalah 17,75. Kemudian, persentase siswa yang memenuhi KKM pada pra-tes adalah 35%, pasca-tes I adalah 65%, dan pasca-tes II adalah 85%. Secara ringkas, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas memenuhi target PTK (75%) yang artinya Penelitian Tindakan Kelas tersebut berhasil. This thesis entitled „Improving Student‟s Listening Skill through Bingo Game: A Classroom Action Research at Fifth Grade Students in Sidomulyo‟ was conducted to know and describe about the improvement of students‟ listening skill through bingo game. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) was used as the research method to overcome the students‟ problem of learning English especially in listening. Kemmis and Mc Taggart design was used in this Classroom Action Research consisting of four phase in each cycle: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. In obtaining the result, there were two types of data collection: the qualitative data (observation and interview) and the quantitative data (pre-test and post-test). In analyzing the data, descriptive analysis and statistic analysis were used to find out the result of the bingo game implementation. The result showed that the use of bingo game improved the students‟ score and their responses were good. For the students‟ responses, it can be seen through the observation and interview taken. The observation proved that the students were interested in following the bingo game activities. Moreover, the interview showed their interests in learning listening through bingo game. In addition, the improvement of the students‟ achievement were proved after the tests in each cycle (pre-test, post-test I, and post-test II) taken: the students‟ mean score in pre-test was 57.25 and the students‟ mean score in post-test II was 75 which the improvement of the students‟ mean score in pre-test and post-test II was 17.75. Then, the percentage of the students who met the KKM in pre-test was 35%, post-test I was 65% and post-test II was 85%. In summary, the result showed that the implementation of the Classroom Action Research met the target CAR (75%) which means that the Classroom Action Research was successful.
