    Uji Karakteristik Kerja Mesin Diesel Generator Set Dual Fuel Minyak Campuran (Minyak Plastik-Biosolar) dengan Syngas Biomassa

    Abstract
    Gasification is the process of getting gas from a product that can be used as an energy source. The system dual fuel can apply the results of biomass gasification in the form of syngas by entering syngas through amixer venturi mounted on the intake manifold of the diesel engine. With this system dual fuel can determine the performance and efficiency of the engine. This study aims to determine the working characteristics of the diesel engine generator set dual fuel mixture of plastic oil with syngas biomass. The research method used a 2 (two) factorial Completely Randomized Design with 4 repetitions. In this study, a diesel engine type fetch R17 generator set model ST-3 was used. The results showed the highest density and viscosity which had a mixture of pyrolysis oil, namely Biosolar : Plastic Oil (75:25) of 0.8061 g/cm3 while the viscosity was 2.054 cSt. Values of power, torque, and average effective pressure (bmep) have the same trend line. The difference in value occurs due to the influence of syngas and the value of the cetane index in the mixed fuel oil. The fuel consumption highest occurs in pure biodiesel. Specific fuel consumption (SFC) duel fuel is higher than single fuel.
     
    Gasifikasi merupakan proses mendapatkan gas dari suatu produk yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber energi. Sistem dual fuel dapat mengaplikasikan hasil gasifikasi biomassa berupa syngas dengan memasukan syngas melalui mixer venturi yang terpasang pada intake manifold pada mesin diesel. Dengan sistem dual fuel ini dapat menentukan unjuk kerja dan efisiensi mesin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kerja mesin diesel generator set dual fuel campuran minyak plastik dengan syngas biomassa. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap 2 (dua) faktorial dengan 4 kali pengulangan. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan mesin diesel tipe fetch R175 set generator model ST-3. Hasil penelitian menunjukan massa jenis dan viskositas tertinggi yang memiliki campuran minyak pirolisis yaitu Biosolar : Minyak Plastik (75:25) sebesar 0,8061 g/cm3 sedangkan pada viskositas sebesar 2,054. Nilai daya, torsi serta tekanan efektif rata rata (bmep) memiliki garis trend yang sama. Perbedaan nilai terjadi akibat pengaruh syngas dan nilai dari indeks setana pada bahan bakar minyak campuran. Konsumsi bahan bakar tertinggi terjadi pada biosolar murni. Konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik (SFC) dual fuel lebih tinggi dari single fuel.
