| dc.description.abstract | The application of organic mulch and rock mulch gives different results. Organic mulch is very good at reducing evaporation and can also improve soil physical properties indirectly. The perpose of this research was to determine the distribution of water on Regosol soil using mulch. The study was conducted on a greenhouse scale using a non-factorial completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The Regosol soil in this study has a sandy loam texture and contains 1.62% organic matter. Regosol soil moisture content measurements were carried out once every 3 days using a moisture content sensor. To determine the amount of water distribution in Regosol soil using diffusivity theoretically. The highest increase in diffusivity occurred without mulching as much as 94.88% at a depth of 8cm from the initial measurement of 0,00401cm2/day to 0,04226 cm2/day at the end of the measurement. Meanwhile, the lowest increase in diffusivity occurred in straw mulch, which was 38,33% at a depth of 16cm from the initial measurement of 0,0069 cm2/day to 0,018 cm2/day at the end of the measurement. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Pemberian mulsa pada tanah dapat mempengaruhi kadar air di dalam tanah serta menekan evaporasi yang terjadi di tanah Regosol. Pengamplikasian mulsa organik dan mulsa batu, memberikan hasil yang berbeda-beda. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi air pada tanah Regosol yang menggunakan mulsa. Penelitian dilakukan dalam skala rumah kaca menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap non faktorial terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Tanah Regosol dalam penelitian ini bertekstur lempung berpasir dan mengandung bahan organik 1,62%. Pengukuran kadar air tanah Regosol dilakukan per 3 hari sekali menggunakan sensor moisture content. Untuk mengetahui besarnya distribusi air pada tanah Regosol menggunakan difusivitas secara teoritis. Kenaikan difusivitas yang paling tinggi terjadi pada tanpa mulsa yaitu sebanyak 94,88% pada kedalaman 8cm dari awal pengukuran 0,00401 cm2/hari menjadi 0,04226 cm2/hari pada akhir pengukuran. Sedangkan kenaikan difusivitas yang paling rendah terjadi pada mulsa jerami yaitu sebanyak 38,33% pada kedalaman 16cm dari pengukuran awal 0,0069 cm2/hari menjadi 0,018 cm2/hari diakhir pengukuran. | en_US |
