    Rancang Bangun Alat Pengempa Daun Gambir Menggunakan Screw Press Secara Mekanis

    Abstract
    Gambier leaf processing in the Pak-Pak Bharat district is still classified as very low because the gambier leaf processing system still uses the traditional method, which still uses jacks or wooden blocks to press gambier leaves, of course this is not efficient considering the long pressing time and requires a lot of energy. The purpose of this research is to design tools and modifications to the processing of gambier leaves in an integrated manner using a mechanical gambir leaf compression tool. This research method is carried out in the calculation phase of the main engine components and continued by designing technical drawings using Autocad application software. The results of this study explain that the design of the gambir leaf compression machine uses a fuel motor with a power of 2 hp with a shaft rotation of 1480 rpm, with an effective tool capacity of 62.11 kg / hour, a shaft diameter of 42 mm, and a gearbox ratio of 1:20, the results The design of the gambier leaf production machine has dimensions of 120 cm long, 35 cm wide, 115 cm high, the results of trials for processing gambier leaves have an average of 5.963 ml of sap, and 5.32 kg of pulp.
     
    Pengolahan daun gambir yang ada di daerah Kabupaten Pak- Pak Bharat masih tergolong sangat rendah karena sistem pengolahan daun gambir yang masih menggunakan cara tradisional, dimana masih menggunakan dongkrak atau balokan kayu untuk pengempa daun gambir, tentu ini tidak efisien mengingat waktu pengempa yang lama dan membutuhkan banyak tenaga. tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk merancang alat dan modifikasi proses pengolahan daun gambir secara terpadu dengan menggunakan alat pengempa daun gambir secara mekanis. metode penelitian ini dilakukan tahap perhitungan komponen utama mesin dan dilanjutkan dengan merancang gambar teknik dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak aplikasi autocad. hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa perancangan mesin pengempa daun gambir menggunakan motor bakar dengan daya 2 hp dengan putaran poros 1480 rpm, dengan kapasitas efektif alat sebesar 62,11 kg/Jam, diameter poros 42 mm, dan rasio gearbox sebesar 1:20, hasil desain mesin produksi daun gambir memiliki ukuran dimensi panjang 120 cm, lebar 35 cm, tinggi 115 cm, hasil uji coba pengolahan daun gambir rata -rata getah sebesar 5.963 ml, dan ampas sebesar 5,32 kg.
