dc.description.abstract | The abundance of organic waste can be utilized through non-incineration waste management, namely by processing waste into biogas and producing by-products such as sludge. The utilization of biogas sludge based on organic waste and its various characteristics can be used as an amendment for soil fertility, one of which can be used for sandy soil. The aims of this research were to evaluate the results of the application of biogas sludge from various organic waste base materials such as vegetables, fruits, empty fruit bunches, urban waste and cow manure on the chemical and biological properties of degraded soil, growth and production of corn. This research was conducted in the Sei Semayang Village, Sunggal District, with an altitude of 31 m asl using a sandy soil sample from the village of the Namomirik District, Kutalimbaru Regency. The study used factorial randomized block design method with two factors. First factor was the basic materials of sludge biogas: vegetables, fruits, empty fruit bunches (EFB), urban waste, and cow manure. The second factor is dosage level; 0 L ha-1, 400 L ha-1, 800 L ha-1, 1200 L ha-1. Application of biogas sludge from various basic materials of organic waste showed different responses to chemical properties, nutrient content and growth of corn plants in sandy soil. Dosage of biogas sludge from the organic waste base material can maintain and improve chemical properties, total microbes, nutrient content and growth of corn plants. The utilization of biogas sludge is recommended coupled with the addition of chemical fertilizers, with the recommended types of raw materials, namely municipal waste, cow dung, and vegetables. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Melimpahnya limbah organik dapat dimanfaatkan melalui pengelolaan sampah tanpa bakar yaitu dengan mengolah limbah menjadi biogas dan menghasilkan hasil samping seperti sludge biogas. Pemakaian sludge biogas berbahan dasar limbah organik berdasarkan beragam karakternya maka dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan amandemen untuk kesuburan tanah, salah satunya dapat dipakai untuk tanah berpasir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi perbaikan sifat kimia dan biologi tanah melalui pemberian sludge biogas yang berasal dari bahan baku utama sayuran, buah-buahan, tandan kosong kelapa sawit, campuran sampah kota dan kotoran sapi, serta pengaruhnya terhadap kadar hara N, P, K dan pertumbuhan tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sei Semayang dengan ketinggian tempat + 31 meter di atas permukaan laut menggunakan contoh tanah berpasir yang berasal dari Desa Namomirik Kecamatan Kutalimbaru Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 2 Faktor. Faktor pertama bahan dasar sludge biogas: Sayuran, Buah, Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS), Sampah Kota, dan Kotoran Sapi. Faktor kedua yaitu taraf dosis; 0 L ha-1, 400 L ha-1, 800 L ha-1, 1200 L ha-1. Pemberian sludge biogas dari berbagai bahan dasar limbah organik menunjukkan perbedaan respon sifat kimia, kadar hara dan pertumbuhan tanaman jagung di tanah berpasir. Pemberian dosis sludge biogas dari bahan dasar limbah organic dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatkan sifat kimia, total mikroba, kadar hara dan pertumbuhan tanaman jagung. Pemakaian sludge biogas direkomendasikan ditambah dengan penambahan pupuk kimia, dengan jenis bahan baku yang direkomendasikan yaitu sampah kota, kotoran sapi, dan sayuran. | en_US |
