    Peningkatan Serapan Hara dan Produksi Ubi Jalar (Ipomoea batatas L.) pada Tanah Masam Melalui Aplikasi Dolomit dan Biovermi

    Abstract
    Sweet potato is a food crop that has great potential to be developed in Indonesia. The problem that occurs is that the low production of sweet potato is due to, among other things, the area of cultivated land is not yet intensive, the availability of limited land, especially wetlands which is decreasing. Therefore, the use of acid soil with inceptisol soil type becomes an opportunity for sweet potato cultivation. The purpose of this study was to identify the increase in nutrient uptake and production of sweet potato on acid soil with the application of dolomite and biovermy. The research was conducted in Aras Kabu Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. Using Randomized Block Design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is dolomite with 3 treatments, namely, 0 ; 1.5 and 3 tons of dolomite / ha. The second treatment was biovermi with 4 treatments, namely, 0; 100; 150 and 200 g of biovermi/plant. The results showed that application of 1.5 ton/ha of dolomite could increase nutrient uptake and plant production, namely Mg nutrient uptake of 0.25%, N nutrient uptake of 1.24% and P nutrient uptake of 1.17% with an increase in sweet potato production in acid soil by 17.41% compared to without dolomite application. Giving biovermi 200g/plant can increase the nutrient uptake and production of sweet potato on acid soils where the increase in N nutrient uptake is 52.09%, P nutrient uptake is 14.15% and Mg nutrient uptake is 28.68%, as well as increased production. sweet potato plants by 47.70%. The interaction of dolomite and biovermi had a significant effect on increasing soil pH and plant tendril length. This proved that the application of 1.5ton/ha of dolomite and 200g of biovermi/plant can increase the growth of sweet potato plants on acid soils.
     
    Ubi jalar merupakan tanaman pangan yang mempunyai potensi besar untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia. Masalah yang terjadi yaitu rendahnya produksi ubi jalar ini disebabkan antara lain luas lahan budidaya belum intensif, ketersediaan lahan yang terbatas terutama lahan basah yang semakin berkurang. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan lahan masam dengan jenis tanah inceptisol menjadi suatu peluang bagi budidaya ubi jalar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan penyerapan hara dan produksi tanaman ubi jalar pada tanah masam dengan aplikasi dolomit dan biovermi. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Aras Kabu, Kecamatan Beringin, Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dolomit dengan 3 perlakuan yaitu, 0 ;1,5 dan 3 ton dolomit /ha. perlakuan kedua adalah biovermi dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu, 0; 100; 150 dan 200 g biovermi/tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dolomit 1,5ton/ha dapat meningkatkan penyerapan hara dan produksi tanaman yaitu serapan hara Mg sebesar 0,25%, serapan hara N sebesar 1,24% dan serapan hara P 1,17% dengan peningkatan produksi ubi jalar di tanah masam sebesar 17,41% dibandingkan tanpa pemberian dolomit. Pemberian biovermi 200g/tanaman dapat peningkatkan serapan hara dan produksi tanaman ubi jalar pada tanah masam dimana peningkatan serapan hara N sebesar 52,09%, serapan hara P sebesar 14,15% dan peningkatan serapan hara Mg sebesar 28,68%, serta peningkatan produksi tanaman ubi jalar sebesar 47,70%. Interaksi pemberian dolomit dan biovermi berpengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan pH tanah dan panjang sulur tanaman. Hal tersebut membuktikan dengan pemberian dolomit 1,5ton/ha dan biovermi 200g/tanaman dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman ubi jalar pada tanah masam.
