    Abstract
Impregnation is a method that aims to fill the pores of the adsorbent with an active metal solution through metal adsorption by immersing the adsorbent in a solution containing active metal. The Mg2+ is one of the metals that is good for use in the adsorption process because it contains metal bonds so that it can spread its active side so that the adsorption can be more optimal. The research stages started from the preparation of clinoptilolite natural zeolite, then continued with the impregnation process using MgCl2 with various concentrations of 2 M, 2,5 M, 3 M, 3,5 M, and the impregnation stirring time was 1,5 hours, 2 hours, and 2,5 hours. Then continued with adsorption process of PO4 by the impregnated zeolite. Before impregnation and after impregnation, the morphological and elemental characterization was carried out by using Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive Spectrophotometer (SEM-EDS). Analysis of adsorbed PO4 was carried out by using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The adsorption kinetics used are Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms. The best impregnation concentration was 2,5 M with a stirring time of 2,5 hours for impregnation. The best value of adsorbed PO4 is 0,8 mg/L with the initial value 10 mg/L. The adsorption kinetics model that is suitable for this research is the Freundlich isotherm with a value of R2 = 0,902
