    Pengaruh Komunikasi Organisasi dan Karakteristik Individu terhadap Prestasi Kerja Karyawan PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat

    Abstract
    The company are required to be able to face challenges and tight competition. Competent human resources must play an active role in planning, implementing and achieving company goals. The success of the company depends on the work productivity of employees, so the company must improve the quality and quantity of employees by looking at the relationship of organizational communication and individual characteristics in order to improve work performance. The problem formulation in this study is how the influence of organizational communication and individual characteristics on employee performance of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of organizational communication and individual characteristics on the employees work performance employees of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat. The method used in this research is quantitative research with associative approach. The population in this research is the employees, with the sampling method of non-probability sampling to the saturated sample. Data was collected through a questionnaire with 44 respondents. The data analysis methods used are instrument test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis test. The results of this study indicate that the organizational communication variable (X1) do not have significant influence on employees work performance of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat. While variable individual characteristics (X2) have a significant effect on work performance employees of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat. Through the test results on the coefficient of determination, the R value is 0.622 and the R Square value is 39.7% which shows that relationship between organizational communication and individual characteristics are to work performance is quite close.
     
    Perusahaan diharuskan dapat menghadapi tantangan dan persaingan yang sangat ketat. Sumber daya manusia yang berkompeten harus berperan aktif dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan mencapai tujuan perusahaan. Keberhasilan perusahaan bergantung kepada produktifitas kerja karyawan, sehingga perusahaan harus meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas karyawan dengan melihat hubungan komunikasi organisasi dan karakteristik individu yang dimiliki guna meningkatkan prestasi kerja karyawan. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengaruh komunikasi organisasi dan karakteristik individu terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi organisasi dan karakteristik individu terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan asosiatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini ialah seluruh karyawan tetap dimana teknik penarikan sampel dengan teknik non-probability sampling menggunakan sampel jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terhadap 44 orang responden. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji instrumen, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linier berganda, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel komunikasi organisasi (X1) tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat. Sementara variabel karakteristik individu (X2) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Cabang Ahmad Yani Area Rantau Prapat. Melalui hasil uji koefisiensi determinasi nilai R sebesar 0,622 dan nilai R Square sebesar 39,7% menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara komunikasi organisasi dan karakteristik individu terhadap prestasi kerja cukup erat.
