dc.description.abstract | Mangroves are plants that live in coastal areas that function to defend the coast from damage.
The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the condition of mangrove forests and to
plan the management of mangrove ecosystem restoration in Pangkalan Susu District, Langkat
Regency. The research methodology used is a simple random sampling method, obtained 5
stations located in Pulau Sembilan Village, Bukit Jengkol, Beras Basah, Tanjung Pasir and
Pintu Air. To calculate the density of mangrove species at the site using a purposive sampling
method, make sample plots measuring 20x20m trees, 10x10m saplings and 5x5m seedlings.
The results of this research obtained a mangrove density of 1317 ind/ha (good moderate).
Mangrove cover in 2020 stations 1-5 is categorized as damaged (rare). To meet the additional
cover by adding mangrove seedlings 221.95ha. Management of mangrove ecosystem
restoration by forming a team, observing existing conditions, providing socialization to the
community, build a place for put the seedlings, nurseries with a total of 2,219,500 seeds and
embroidering 443,900 seeds, building Hybrid Engineering with a construction plan of 9,650m,

dc.description.abstract | Mangrove adalah tumbuhan yang hidup di kawasan pesisir berfungsi untuk mempertahankan
pesisir dari kerusakan. Tujuan penelitian memberikan gambaran kondisi hutan mangrove dan
merencanakan penanggulangan restorasi ekosistem mangrove di Kecamatan Pangkalan Susu
Kabupaten Langkat. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling
method, didapatkan 5 stasiun berada di Desa Pulau Sembilan, Bukit Jengkol, Beras Basah,
Tanjung Pasir dan Pintu Air. Untuk menghitung kerapatan jenis mangrove di lokasi
menggunakan purposive sampling method, membuat petak contoh berukuran 20x20m pohon,
10x10m pancang dan 5x5m semai. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperolehnya kerapatan mangrove
sebesar 1317 ind/ha (baik sedang). Tutupan mangrove dalam tahun 2020 stasiun 1-5 masingmasing
berkategori rusak (jarang). Untuk memenuhi penambahan tutupan dengan menambah
bibit mangrove 221.95ha. Penanggulangan restorasi ekosistem mangrove dengan membentuk
tim, melihat kondisi eksisting, memberikan sosialisasi pada masyarakat, membuat bedeng,
pembibitan dengan total 2.219.500 bibit dan bibit penyulaman 443.900 bibit, membangun
Hybrid Engineering dengan perencanaan pembangunan sepanjang 9.650m, dan dilakukannya
