    Pengaruh Kelimpahan Mesoplastik terhadap Kandungan Logam Berat Pb dan Cd pada Badan Air Sungai Deli Kota Medan

    Abstract
    Heavy metals Pb and Cd are used as stabilizers and pigments in plastics. Mesoplastics are plastic particles measuring 0.5 cm - 2.5 cm. This study aims to analyze the amount and characteristics of mesoplastics, the content of heavy metals Pb and Cd in mesoplastics and in the water body of the Deli River of Medan City as well as the effect of mesoplastic abundance on the content of heavy metals Pb and Cd on the water body of the Deli River of Medan City. Sampling is done grab sample at 5 location points. The number of mesoplastics from five sampling location points 2,21 x 10-6 kg/s and the average mesoplastic amount is 4,41 x 10-7 kg/s with an average abundance of 6.05 x 10-8 kg / m3. The dominant mesoplastic is film-shaped, the dominant color is clear, white and black. The type of polymer is polyethylene and there are cracks, white patches, and uneven surfaces on the mesoplastic. The average concentration of Pb is 0.447 ppm and the average Cd concentration is 0.005 ppm. Metal testing on mesoplastics and detected higher Pb and Cd metals in mesoplastics compared to Pb and Cd metals in Deli River water, but it has been tested with Pearson Correlatin that there is no significant association between the abundance of mesplastics to the heavy metal content of Pb and Cd in the water body of the Deli River of Medan City.
     
    Logam berat Pb dan Cd digunakan sebagai stabilisator dan pigmen pada plastik. Mesoplastik merupakan partikel plastik berukuran 0,5 cm - 2,5 cm. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jumlah dan karakteristik mesoplastik, kandungan logam berat Pb dan Cd pada mesoplastik dan pada badan air Sungai Deli Kota Medan serta pengaruh kelimpahan mesoplastik terhadap kandungan logam berat Pb dan Cd pada badan air Sungai Deli Kota Medan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara grab sample pada 5 titik lokasi. . Jumlah mesoplastik dari lima titik lokasi sampling sebesar 2,21 x 10- 6 kg/s dan jumlah rata-rata mesoplastik sebesar 4,41 x 10-7 kg/s dengan kelimpahan ratarata sebesar 6,05 x 10-8 kg/m3. Bentuk mesoplastik dominan berbentuk film, berwarna bening, putih dan hitam dengan jenis polimer Polietilen dan terdapat retakan, bercak putih, serta permukaan yang tidak merata pada mesoplastik. Nilai rata rata konsentrasi Pb sebesar 0,447 ppm dan nilai rata rata konsentrasi Cd sebesar 0,005 ppm. Dilakukan pengujian logam pada mesoplastik dan terdeteksi logam Pb dan Cd yang lebih tinggi pada mesoplastik dibanding dengan logam Pb dan Cd pada air Sungai Deli, namun telah di uji dengan Pearson Correlation bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kelimpahan mesoplastik terhadap kandungan logam berat Pb dan Cd pada badan air Sungai Deli Kota Medan.
