Emissions produced by motor vehicles become one of the most influential pollutant factors towards air quality. The increase in population in Medan also comes with an increase in the use of motorized vehicles on the roads. This results in increased air pollutants such as Carbon Monoxide and Hydrocarbon which can reduce ambient air quality. This research intend to analyze the effect of engine age, mileage, and service period of 1329 cc four-wheeled motor vehicles on the emission quality of Carbon Monoxide and Hydrocarbon. This research was conducted by conducting direct emission test on four-wheeled vehicles in Toyota Auto 2000 SM Raja workshop by using the SY-GA 401 gas analyzer. The number of samples needed are 45 Toyota Avanza 1329 cc vehicles, which were obtained based on the final results of the calculation of the Slovin method. The data were processed by statistical analysis using Microsoft Excel 2016 and SPSS Version 25 to determine the normality, correlation, and regression values of the emission test data. Based on the research results, it was revealed that all vehicles still met the quality standard set by PerMenLH No. 05 of 2006 concerning Carbon Monoxide parameters, but there were 2 vehicles that did not meet the quality standard for Hydrocarbon parameters. The older the engine and the longer the distance covered by the vehicle, the higher the levels of Carbon Monoxide and Hydrocarbon emissions produced. However, the more the vehicle subjected to routine service, the lower the levels of Carbon Monoxide and Hydrocarbon emissions produced. The mileage factor has a greater effect on the levels of Carbon Monoxide and Hydrocarbons produced by motorized vehicles when compared to the engine age and service period factors.
