dc.description.abstractResearch has been carried out to determine the levels of impurities using the gravimetric method and the determination of the peroxide number using the iodometric titration method on CPO (Crude Palm Oil) at PT PP. LONDON SUMATRA INDONESIA, TBK BEGERPANG PALM OIL MILL. The determination of impurities in CPO (Crude Palm Oil) was carried out by the gravimetric method using whatman filter paper no. 41 and Goch Filter as a filter and n-hexane as a solvent, then weighed the hard weight of whatman filter no. 41 and Goch filter then weighed again hard filter whatman no.41 and goch filter. The determination of the peroxide number was carried out by the iodimetric titration method by weighing 5 grams of the sample, then adding acetic acid: chloroform in a ratio of 2:3. Then 0.5 ml of saturated KI solution was added and homogenized. Then added 30 ml of distilled water and added 5 drops of 1% starch again homogenized. Titrate with sodium thiosulfate until the color turns pale. From the results of the study, calculations were then carried out and obtained the percent dirt content of CPO/12/2021/01 = 0.022%, CPO/01/2022/02 = 0.021%, and CPO/02/2022/03 =0.026% where these results have met quality standard SNI 01-2901-2006. The results of the peroxide number are, CPO/07/2021/01=1.6546 meq, CPO/10/2021/02 = 1.3084 meq, CPO/01/2022/0= 1.6443 meq where the results already meet the standard quality of SNI 3741:2013en_US
dc.description.abstractTelah dilakukan penelitian penentuan kadar kototan dengan metode gravimetri dan penentuan bilangan peroksida dengan metode titrasi iodometri pada CPO (Crude Palm Oil) di PT.PP. LONDON SUMATRA INDONESIA,TBK BEGERPANG PALM OILL MILL. Adapun penentuan kadar kotoran pada CPO (Crude Palm Oil) dilakukan dengan metode gravimetri menggunakan kertas saring whatman no.41 dan Goch Filter sebagai penyaring dan n-heksan sebagai pelarut,kemudian ditimbang berat keras saring whatman no 41 dan Goch filter kemudian ditimbang kembali keras saring whatman no.41 dan Goch filter. Penentuan bilangan peroksida dilakukan dengan metode titrasi iod imetri dengan menimbang sampel sebanyak 5 gram,kemudian ditambahkan Asam asetat:klorofom dengan perbandingan 2:3. Kemudian ditambahkan 0,5 ml larutan KI jenuh dan dihomogenkan. Kemudian ditambahkan 30 ml aquadest dan ditambahkan 5 tetes amilum 1% kembali dihomogenkan. Ditirasi dengan Natrium Tiosulfat hingga berubah warna menjadi pucat. Dari hasil penelitian kemudian dilakukan perhitungan dan diperoleh persen kadar kotoran sebesar CPO/12/2021/01 = 0,022%, CPO/01/2022/02 = 0,021% ,dan CPO/02/2022/03 = 0,026% dimana hasil tersebut sudah memenuhi standart mutu SNI 01-2901-2006. Hasil dari bilangan peroksida sebesar, CPO/07/2021/01=1,6546 meq, CPO/10/2021/02 =1,3084 meq, CPO/01/2022/0= 1,6443 meq dimana hasil tersebut sudah memenuhi standar mutu SNI 3741:2013en_US
