Maintaining Relationship Komunikasi Suami Istri pada Pasangan Bekerja yang Tinggal Berjauhan

Abstract

This study aims to find out the views of the couple on the role of communication in maintaining a long distance relationship, knowing maintaining relationship communications husband and wife who both work and live far apart, and to know the supporting factors and obstacles in achieving maintaining the relationship effective communication. The number of subjects in this study were seven pairs if husband and wife in accordance with the criteria. The paradigm used is constructivist. This is a qualitative reearch method. The husband and wife in this study stated that communication is very important in maintaining the relationship. There is the maintainance of communication links morital distance in this study, namely positive attitude, openness, commitment, sharing tasks, social networks, joint activities, mediated communication (computer and handphone), looking for reference books, provides self-defense on particular conflict provide explanations, humor, do not rebuke error partner in front of others, the secret in the household not known by the public, and do a couple insulting the family in public, and do not underestimate your partner, how to treat his wife with giving a bit of freedom, and give full confidence, pray and patient. Informant in this study experienced to socio-antro-psychological, mechanical, ecological, and geographical.
