This atudy aimed examine and explain the effect of organizational communication climate and leadership either paratially or simultaneously towards the performance of the employee at the technical implementation unit of library in the Syiah kuala University Banda Aceh. This study used quantitative approach. It applied explanatory method, which explains the correlation among variables and hypothesis test which have been formulated from the previous study. The population was all of the employees of the library in Syiah Kuala university Banda Aceh. The number of samples was 57 respondents. The sampling technique used was total sampling including all samples in this study due to the small number of population. The analysis model used used was correlation analysis aided by SPSS program 20.0 version for windows. The analysis results demonstrated that there are positive and significanteffects between organizational communication climate and leadership on the performance of the employee either partially or simultaneously with a fair level of correlation. This finding indicated that to improve the performance of employee, it needs to concern on several factors, such as organizational communication climate and leadership which carry the changes for improvement of the performance of the employee towards the organizational progress in the scope of library in Syiah Kuala University Banda Aceh.
