    Pengolahan Limbah Cair Kerajinan Tikar Purun dengan Metode Elektrokoagulasi Menggunakan Elektroda Besi (Fe)

    Abstract
    The textile industry in Indonesia is increasing along with the demand for various textile products that always follow fashion trends, and in their processing always produce waste in the form of liquid substances that can pollute the environment. One of the methods to treat waste is the electrocoagulation method. Electrocoagulation is a process of deposition of particles contained in waste with the help of an electric current that occurs chemically. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in voltage and time of the electrocoagulation process on the levels of TSS, COD and Color. This electrocoagulation process uses Fe electrodes with a size of 14 cm x 7 cm. In this study, an electrocoagulation reactor with a size of 3 liters was used as a container. The electric voltage in the electrocoagulation process was also varied by 10, 20 and 30 volts. The processing time used is 30, 45, and 60 minutes. Based on the results of the analysis, the results showed that TSS removal with an efficiency of 93.16% for COD was 98.32% and 98.03% for color parameters.
     
    Industri tekstil di Indonesia semakin bertambah seiiring dengan permintaan beragam produk tekstil yang selalu mengikuti tren mode, dan dalam pengolahannya selalu menghasilkan limbah berupa zat cair yang dapat mencemari lingkungan. Salah satu metode untuk mengolah limbah adalah metode Elektrokoagulasi. Elektrokoagulasi merupakan proses pengendapan partikel-partikel yang terkandung dalam limbah dengan bantuan arus listrik yang terjadi secara kimiawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi tegangan dan waktu proses elektrokoagulasi terhadap kadar TSS, COD dan Warna. Proses elektrokoagulasi ini menggunakan elektroda Fe dengan ukuran 14 cm x 7 cm. Pada penelitian ini digunakan reaktor eletrokoagulasi dengan ukuran 3 liter sebagai wadah. Tegangan listrik dalam proses elektrokoagulasi ini juga divariasikan sebesar 10, 20 dan 30 volt. Waktu proses yang digunakan yaitu selama 30, 45, dan 60 menit. Berdasarkan hasil analisa didapatkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyisihan TSS dengan efisiensi sebesar 93,16% untuk COD sebesar 98,32% dan 98,03% parameter warna.
