Breast cancer is a cancer that originates in the glands, ducts of the glands and breast supporting tissue One of the breast cancer treatments with undergoing chemotherapy. The highest breast cancer sufferers in Sumatra The North is a tribal woman. The purpose of this study is to explore about the experiences of breast cancer patients in batak tribes undergoing chemotherapy. The design of the study is a descriptive phenomenology. Method data collection is carried out with in-depth interviews. Purposive method sampling is used to select participants who meet the criteria as Participants. Participants in this study were 15 tribal breast cancer patients Batak. The results of the transcluded interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The results of this study found 5 themes that reflect the phenomenon that Researched. These themes are 1) Experiencing the patient's emotional instability breast cancer in batak tribe in response to chemotherapy, 2) Adapting to reduce physical changes after chemotherapy, 3) Seeking healing and recovery by cancer patients breasts in the batak tribe in overcoming the impact of chemotherapy, 4) Reducing the emotional instability that breast cancer patients do during their treatment chemotherapy, 5) Obstacles experienced by breast cancer patients in batak tribes during the course of chemotherapy. This research is recommended for health care workers, especially nurses in order to provide holistic service based on cultural for breast cancer patients who were treated with chemotherapy and give information to educational that the importance of cultural to give the nursing services.
