Penggunaan Deiksis Bahasa Mandarin yang Terdapat pada Film The Monkey King 2

Abstract

The title of this thesis is “Penggunaan Deiksis Bahasa Mandarin yang Terdapat pada Film The Monkey King 2”. In this way writer trying to analyze the form of deixis and the use of deixis, and grouping of deixises found in The Monkey King 2 movie. The purpose of this research is to discover what types of deixis are exists in The Monkey King 2 movie and to analyze how the use of deixis. The data source of this research is the text that became the conversation dialogue in The Monkey King 2 movie. In this research, the process of data collection using the simak method and catat technique. To analyze the shape of deixis is used referral pad method with PUP (Determining Elementary Element) as the basic technique and HBS (Connect Compare Equate) as the advanced technique. The results of this research show that there are five types of Chinese deixis on The Monkey King 2 movie, that is; person deixis, place deixis, times deixis, discourses deixis, and social deixis. In addition, the results of this research show that the use of deixis is closely related to the context of speech. The meaning of a deixic word can be known when considering and knowing the context of the speech.
