About 20% of pregnancy complications, 4.7% were caused by abortion. Complications of abortion which is bleeding or infection, can cause death. The purpose of this research is to understand the factors associated with abortion in the working area of Simpang Tiga health center, North Aceh District.
This type of research was analytic survey with cross sectional design. The population in this study is all pregnant women who came for medication or checking their pregnancy in the working area of Simpang Tiga Public Health Center from January - September 2017 as many 106 women.Thesamples were pregnant women with gestational age 0 – 6 months which still risk against abortion who came for the medication or checking their pregnancy in January – September 2017 to working area Simpang Tiga as many as 65 women. The data were obtained by interviewing using a questionnaire. Stages of analysis included univariate, bivariate with Chi Square and multivariate using Poisson regression.
The results showed simultaneously that was a relationship between pregnancy interval and parity with abortion. Poisson regression analysis results indicated factors that have the most dominant relationship with abortion was parity (PR = 10.751; 95% CI 2,221-193,511; p = 0,021) which meant that pregnant women with parity 1 or > 3 times would increase the risk of abortion 10.751 times compared to parity 2 – 3 times.
To prevent the occurrence of abortion it is recommended that mothers with parity 1 or > 3 times do adequate obstetric care, must follow the class of pregnant women during the process pregnancy to prevent complications of pregnancy especially abortion. | en_US |
