Objectives: To find out the factors related to anxiety in grade 3 high school students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: This study is a predictive multivariate study with a cross-sectional approach to determine the relationship between anxiety factors in grade 3 high school students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Symptomatology of anxiety were assessed using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7).
Results: A total of 120 subjects took part in this study, the majority 66.7% of the subjects were female, the most ethnic group was non m melayu 74 subjects (61.7%), the majority of learning facilities were owned by themselves 71 subjects (59.2%), the most interest in learning systems is offline learning 82 subjects (72.5%), living with parents the most are living with parents 105 subjects (87.5%), In this study there is a significant relationship between the independent and scores anxiety in 3rd grade high school students where gender (p=0.001) duration of study outside school hours (p=0.006), sleep duration per day (p<0.001), living with parents (p= 0.035).
Conclusions: Factors related to anxiety in grade 3 high school students during the COVID-19 pandemic were gender, duration of study outside school hours, duration of sleep per day and living with parents.
