Alternative animal feed processing with banana stems as raw material is still mostly done by cutting the material manually. The purpose of this research is to test the best conveyor roller speed on a modified banana stem chopper machine so as to lighten the burden on operator performance. The method in this study used a non-factorial completely randomized design. The conveyor speed is set with a 1:60 gearbox ratio with 3 speed variations such as 60 rpm, 90 rpm and 120 rpm. The highest fuel consumption at 60 rpm is 0.713 liters/hour and the least is at 120 rpm at 0.51 liters/hour. The largest effective capacity of the tool is 2,038.72 kg/hour at 120 rpm and the smallest is 1,072.49 kg/hour at 60 rpm. The largest percentage of material left on the tool is 4,69% at 60 rpm and the smallest value is 3,17% at 120 rpm. The largest percentage of material lost in the tool is 16,68% at 60 rpm and the smallest value is 13,15% at 120 rpm.
