Chronic kidney failure is a health problem which is developing rapidly'. Patients who are treated with hemodialysis have sleep disorder which influences their life quality. Sleep disorder has negative effect on immune response and can cause cardiovascular to widen and will eventually cause death in kidney failure patients. The objective of the research was to identify the effectiveness of providing rnusical instrument therapy on the sleep quality of chronic kidney failure patients treated with hemodialysis. The research was a quasi experiment with pretest posttest with control design. The samples were 73 respondents by using power analysis tables on 38 respondents. The result of the research, using independent t-test, showed that there was the effect of musical instrument therapy on the sleep quality of chronic kidney failure patients at p = 0.001 (p < 0.005). The difference of sleep quality before and after providing musical instrument therapy used paired t-test at p = 0.001. After it was provided, the sleep quality increased.
