Pengaruh Kinerja Pelayanan Publik Bidang Pendidikan terhadap Pengembangan Wilayah di Kabupaten Nias

Abstract

The aim of the research was to btow know the public service peformance in education in Nias District and whether the public service performance in education influenced the regional development in Nias District. The population comprised 150 samples, and the respondents were the people in Nias District, using simple random sampling method. The result of the research showed that public service performance in education in Nias District was indicated by mean value of the variable of public service performance at 3.7 which could be assumed that the level of public service peformarce in Nias District had not maximal; it should have been at the value of 4 up to 5. The coefficient regression value was positive (0.655), which indicated that there was the influence of independent variable (X) on dependent variable (Y) which also indicated that the higher the value of public service in education , the more increasing portially the regional development. Influence the performance of public services in education towards the development of the regions of 0.387 percent and the rest of 61.3 percent is explained by other factors not included in this study. The conclusion of the research showed that public service in education in Nias District had not yet been maximal, and public service performance in education in Nias District hda the influence on regional development. It is recommended that Nias District Administratiory especially the concerned SKPD, should increase the service quality in providing services to the people, especially the services in education since it has significant influence on regional development.
