Gambaran Histopatologi Penderita Karsinoma Lambung di Kota Medan Tahun 2009 - 2011

Abstract

Gastric carcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumor of the stomach and one of most common cancer that leads to death. It is very important to find out the characteristic of this cancer as a tool for early detection and for the treatment therapy. The aim of this research is to get information about gastric carcinoma histopathological pattern at Anatomy Pathology laboratories since 2009 to 2011 in Medan. This research included 56 cases of gastric carcinoma and designed using a descriptive research with cross sectional study, by taking data gastric carcinoma patients from nine Anatomy Pathology laboratories in Medan since 2009 to 2011. The result of this research shows that according to World Health Classification, the Intestinal Type Adenocarcinoma is the most common about 78,6%, followed by Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma (07,1%), Squamous Cell Carcinoma (05,4%), Papillary Adenocarcinoma (03,6%) and 01,8% for Diffuse Type Adenocarcinoma, Mucinous Adenocarcinoma and Hepatoid Adenocarcinoma. It is found more in man than woman ( 62,5% ), the most age group is more 36 years old (53,6%) and than antrum was the commonest site involved.
