dc.description.abstract | Work motivation is a drive arousing from the inside of somebody to do a job in achieving personal or organizational goals to meet their wants and needs. Work motivation is a factor which is very important to be paid attention to stimulate the attempt to improve performance. Work motivation is influenced by various both internal and external factors that the factors related to the work motivation need to be studied. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the factors influencing work motivation of the agricultural extension workers both civil servant and daily-based workers in Karo District. This study used primary and secondary data. The data obtained were analyzed through Chi-square test by using SPSS program.
The result of analysis showed that the factors related to work motivation of the agricultural extension workers in Karo District were personal maturity, desire, work satisfaction, and compensation. The factor with the closest relationship with work motivation of the agricultural extension workers both civil servant and daily-based workers were desire (61.50%), compensation (56.40%), personal maturity (51.65%), and work satisfaction (49.55%). The level of closeness between the factor of personal maturity and the factor of work motivation was higher in the agricultural extension workers in their capacity as civil servant than in those in their capacity as daily-based workers. The level of closeness of desire was higher in the agricultural extension workers in their capacity as daily-based workers, while the level of closeness between the factors of work satisfaction and compensation was almost the same between the agricultural extension workers both civil servant and daily-based workers. | en_US |
