Laptop Charging Stations have been successfully designed using solar power with
current and voltage monitoring. The purpose of designing this tool is to find out the
working principle, voltage, current, and power used in laptops with micro and type c
cable ports, as well as to compare the charging time of laptop charging stations with
the manufacturer's charger. The working principle of this tool, the PZEM-004T
sensor detects the current and voltage from the inverter, the battery supplies the
current to the regulator as a voltage adjuster to suit the needs of the microcontroller.
After the sensor detects the object, it sends a signal to the microcontroller to be
converted into data, then the data is sent to the LCD as an output to display the data.
The average value of voltage, current, and power used on laptop charging stations
with micro-cable ports is 234.87 V, 0.26 A, and 33.6 W respectively, the type c cable
ports are 234.12 V, 0.36 A, 58.8 W respectively. The result of the comparison of the
length of charging time between the micro cable port of the laptop charging stations
and the manufacturer's charger has a time difference of 2 minutes 09 seconds the
length of charging, while the comparison of the length of charging time between the
type c cable port of the laptop charging station and the manufacturer's charger has a
difference of 39 minutes 03 seconds.
