Asi Walo Beach located in the north of Nias Island, is one of the tourist destinations with a high concentration of macroalgae. The purpose of this research is to determine the diversity of macroalgae in the waters of Asi Walo Beach, Teluk Bengkuang Village, Sawo District, North Nias Regency, and their correlation with environmental parameters. This research was conducted in September – November 2021. Determination of the research location using purposive sampling method at three observation stations. Sampling of macroalgae using a 50 x 50 cm quadratic transect with an interval of 10 meters was carried out for 100 meters perpendicular to the shoreline. The results obtained were 10 species of macroalgae: Avrainvillea erecta, Boodlea vanbosseae, Bornetella oligospora, Caulerpa sertulariodes, Halimeda opuntia, Neomeris annulata, Valonia aegagropila, Padina minor, Acanthophora spicifera, dan Galaxaura rugosa. The relationship of macroalgae diversity to the parameters of current velocity, pH, N-total, phosphate, and C-organic was positive while the relationship of macroalgae diversity to the parameters of temperature, depth, brightness, and salinity were negative.
