This study was conducted to see the effect of person organization fit and person job fit to
work engagement police officer in Binjai. The study involved 411 members of the police who
have been through probability sampling technique. Data were obtained by using a scale
person organization fit, person job fit and work engagement. The research data obtained and
analyzed with multiple linear regression analysis and the results showed an association
person organization fit and job fit person to work engagement (r = 0.496), as well as the
influence of person organization fit and person job fit for work engagement of 24.6%. Results
of this research may provide insight into how the person organization fit and person job fit
affect engagement of police work and work organization can increase engagement by
choosing people who have compability with organizational and job characteristics.
