    Abstract
Gouramy is a native fish to Indonesian waters. There are a lot of gouramy has been developed by fish cultivator, this is due to high market demand and its relatively easy to cultivated. However, these fish species that has high economic in value has slow growth, with the result that is required to its cultivation. The aims of this research is to known the growth rate and survival rate of gouramy. The method was carried out by factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two treatment factors, namely feeding rate and frequency. The feeding rate factor consists of 3 levels, that is P1 (3%), P2 (4%) and P3 (5%). Feeding frequency factor consist of 3 levels, that is F1 (2 times feeding that is at 10.00 am and 4.00 pm, F2 (3 times feeding that is at 10.00 am, 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm), F3 (4 times feeding that is at 10.00 am 12.00 am, 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm). This research was conducted for 60 days on cultivation to determine the weight increases, length increases, feed conversion ratio (FCR), survival rate and the quality of water. The results showed that the different feeding rates obtained a very significant effect (P≤0.01) on the weight and length increases. Different frequency treatments obtained a very significant effect (P≤0.01) on the weight and length increases. The interaction of different Feeding rate and frequency treatments has a very significant effect (P≤0.01) on weight increases, whereas the length increases did not obtain a significant effect (P>0.05).
