| dc.description.abstract | Biomass is a solid waste which can be used for fuel source. The beneficial nature of biomass as energy sources is that it can be sustainably utilized due to its renewability. It can be converted into solid fuel, liquid fuel and gas. Charcoal is a product of biomass conversion. Through briqueting technology, it can be made into charcoal briquettes. The aim of this research was to know the effect of the amount of glue mixture on the quality of corn cob briquettes. The experiment was conducted using a non-factorial completely randomized design with calorific value, water content, density, and ash content of parameters. The results of this research indicated that the concentration of adhesive materials was not significantly affected the calorific value, but it was significantly affected water content, density, and ash content. The best results obtained in the 10% of adhesive materials. | en_US |
