dc.description.abstractFarmers who live in watershed still using electric or manual pump to get water. Therefore the authorty to make mechanical spring-powered water pump. This research was conducted in February-May 2010 at the Agricultural Engineering Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, Medan, and the field research was conducted in Sungai Permai, Desa Namo Gajah, Kecamatan Tuntungan Medan, Medan, Sumatera Utara. by literature study, experiments and observations on the water pump. The parameters used were the water pump capacity, water elevation head and economic analysis. The results showed that the capacity was 8,33 x 10-5 m/s. water head was 7,2 m. Economic analysis was Rp. 3612.991/m3 , and this equipment was feasible.en_US
