Analisis Konsistensi Mutu dan Rendemen Crude Palm Oil (CPO) di Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Tanjung Seumantoh PTPN I Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam

Abstract

MUHAMMAD ARIF HIDAYAT: The Analysis of Quality Consistency and Yield of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at the Oil Palm Factory of Tanjung Seumantoh PTPN I Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, supervised by SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY and AINUN ROHANAH. The competition for the sector of the primary industry based on oil palm was pointed in the increasingly tight challenge. With the strictness of competition of free market at this time, effort was needed to be increased on quality and yield of CPO. This research was aimed at evaluating the consistency of the CPO quality (free fatty acid and moisture) and the yield of production during April and September of 2005 to 2008 period as well as to analyse the cause factors of the low level of quality and yield of CPO at the oil palm factory using control chart and cause-effect diagram. Results of the research showed that the quality and the yield of CPO during April and September of 2005 to 2008 period were inconsistent. This matter was caused by the influence of raw material, processing procedure and machinery condition during oil palm processing at the factory.
