The dearth of writings about the Mbelin House of Raja Urung Senembah Deli and sighting the importance of the role of the Urung Senembah Kingdom in the past in the formation of the Patumbak area today is the background for the author to raise this topic as a final project. In addition, the Law for the Advancement of Culture No. 5 of 2017 is a momentum so that the existence of the Mbelin Raja Urung Senembah Deli House will be increasingly recognized as a cultural heritage if traced again. In order to support this, this study aims to find out how the architecture and function of this traditional house in the past and present and explore the potential of the Mbelin Raja Urung Senembah Deli House to be validated as a cultural heritage. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and literature study. Throughout the research, it was found that from the past until now this house was still functioned as the residence of King Urung Senembah Deli and his family. The Mbelin house of Raja Urung Senembah Deli was once used as a refugee for the nobles of the Karo kingdoms in Tanah Karo during the East Sumatra Social Revolution and became the home of the Naqsabandiyah Suluk Order in 1940-1970. Renovations carried out in 1958 brought this house to an architectural style called the jengki architectural style which again became a trend in the 1950s. It is characterized by a saddle-shaped roof, ornaments in the house tend to be made of wood and rattan, the presence of porticoes and the presence of vents provided on the roof. After being analyzed, from the aspect of important values including history, knowledge, education, religion and culture, this house deserves to be validated as a cultural heritage. This thesis can be used as a reference by the Department of Education and Culture of Deli Serdang Regency in assessing the potential and feasibility of this house to be validated as a cultural heritage. Through this thesis, it is also recommended to the government, especially the Education and Culture Office, to immediately restore the Mbelin Raja Urung Senembah Deli House because in some parts there has been serious damage and helped develop this house into one of the cultural heritage tourism objects in Deli Serdang Regency.en_US
