Rancang Bangun Alat Pembuat Pakan Ikan Mas dan Ikan Lele bentuk Pelet

Abstract

ADRIAN SYAHPUTRA: The Engineering of Feed Pellet Equipment for The Goldfish and Catfish, supervised by SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY and EDI SUSANTO. The Development of fishery farming in Indonesia, making the need for pellet and their price increase. This condition encourage the writer to engineer the pellet feed maker. This research was aimed at making and testing the feed maker. The research was conducted on March to May 2009 at the Laboratory of Agricultural Engineering, the Faculty of Agriculture, The University of North Sumatra, Medan, by literature study, experiments and observations of the equipment. The parameters observed were the equipment capacity, percentage of broken result, economics analysis, break event point and the feasibility study using value of net present value and internal rate of return. The capacity of the equipment was 25,85 kg/hour, the percentage of broken result was 17,14% and this equipment was feasible.
