    Abstract
HILMAN MURASA : Inspect about water spreading in root area for variety of soil and plant with laboratory scale, supervised by SUMONO and NAZIF ICHWAN. We know about water spreading in root area important for one of our opinion to give the irrigation. This research purpose to inspect water spreading in root area for variety of soil and plant with laboratory scale. The parameters was observed about soil physics character, evapotranspiration, percolation, water efficiency, and water storage, wet weight and dry weight plant. The result of this research shawn Inceptisol soil clay textural, Latosol soil clay textural, and Andepts soil sand clay loam textural. The biggest evapotranspiration for mustard green plant in middle phase 1,92 mm/day and soya bean plant 1,84 mm/day. The biggest percolation for mustard green plant in Andepts soil 1,85 cm/day and the biggest percolation for soya bean plant in Inceptisol soil 0,41 cm/day. The biggest water use efficiency for mustard green plant in Latosol soil 100% that’s for middle and last phase, the biggest water use efficiency for soya bean plant in Latosol soil 100%, that’s for middle and last phase. The biggest water storage efficiency for mustard green plant in Inceptisol and Andepts soil 100% for middle phase, the biggest water storage efficiency for soya bean in Inceptisol and Andepts soil 100%. The biggest weight for mustard green plant in Inceptisol soil with weight 44,42 g and dry weight 9,97 g. The biggest weight for soya bean plant in Inceptisol with wet weight 26,67 g and dry weight 7,96 g.
