| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the research was to know and to analyze the potency of beaches which can be developed for tourism in Batubara District and to analyze the priority scale of the development of beach tourism in Batubara District. The research used Delphi and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) methods. The data comprised the primary and secondary data. Primary collected from key informants and the secondary data from Bappeda and the Tourism Service of Batubara District. The result of the research shows that of six beach areas in Batubara District, Pantai Perjuangan has the highest potency for being developed as the beach tourism. It can be seen from its attractiveness, market potency, promising environment, the availability of equipment and infrastructure, management, maintenance, and services. The next beaches which have the highest potency are Pantai Bunga and Pantai Sejarah. The priority scale of the development areas is Pantai Perjuangan, Pantai Bunga, Pantai Datuk, Pantai Sejarah, Pantai Kubah Padang, and Pantai Laksamana. | en_US |
