dc.description.abstractERMIDA YANTI: Test of the effect of workload on performance of pestle mechanical supervised by AINUN ROHANAH and NAZIF ICHWAN. Shrimp paste is one of kind of fermented fish or shrimp that only have salting treatment and then left for several days in order to allowfermentation process happened. This research was purposed to examine the effect of workload on the performance of pestle mechanical. This research was conducted in April until August 2016 in the laboratoryof agricultural engineering, university of north sumatera Desa Lorong Pemancar Jl. Taman Makam Pahlawan Kelurahan Belawan I and laboratory of food technology of science and food technology departement, university of north sumatera, by literature stud, testing equipment and parameters obsevation. Parameters measured were effective capacity, percentage of missing ingredients, diesel fuel consumption and water content. The result showed that the workload was significantly affected the effective capacity, diesel fuel consumption and water content and not significantly affected percentage of missing ingredients.en_US
