Equipment Direct Steam Type. Supervised by LUKMAN ADLIN HARAHAP and
SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY.
In the clove oil distillation equipment direct steam type, distillation
temperature setting must be set properly. The temperature determines the quality
of clove oil. This study was testing various temperature levels on clove oil
distillation equipment direct steam type on the moisture content, free fatty acids
and yield of the clove oil produced. This research was conducted at the
Laboratory of Agricultural Engineering and Food Chemistry Analysis
Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture in November 2015 until completion using a
non-factorial completely randomized design usualytemperature of 950C, 1000C
and 1050C. Parameters measured were moisture content, free fatty acids and
yield.
The results showed that the highest water content was in the U1 (15.72%) and the
lowest water content we in the U3 (11.23%). The highest level of free fatty acid we
in the U1 (5.83%) and the lowes free fatty acid we in the, us (5.60%) the highest
yield value we in the U3 (0.54%) and the lowest yield we in the U1 (0.40%). | en_US |
