| dc.description.abstract | In the processing of palm oil fruits, oil is lost due to poor processing, therefore an action is needed to prevent oil losses. This research used scatter diagram and correlation analysis to find the relationship between the oil losses factors. The parameters were characteristic of oil losses in the clarification station, vertical clarifier tank temperature, the frequency of equipment maintenance and machinery clarification station. Results of the research (January 2010 until April 2011) showed that the dry substance content had the biggest correlation effect (0,447) on oil losses in clarification station and the non oil solids had the smallest correlation effect (- 0,0789). A cause-effect diagram was made from the results to identify sequence problems that cause oil losses in processing at the clarification station. | en_US |
