    Uji Efektivitas Ekstrak Gelatin Tulang Ikan Kembung (Rastrelliger sp.) terhadap Jumlah Sel Osteoblas pada Penyembuhan Tulang Mandibula Tikus Galur Wista

    Abstract
    Mandibular bone defect can be caused by several things such as trauma, traffic accidents, post-surgery, tumor removal, and congenital abnormalities. Bone tissue engineering involves 3 main components, namely cells, scaffold, and tissue engineering. Mackerel bone gelatin (Rastrelliger sp.) has the ability as a scaffold in tissue engineering, acts as a cell transport tool, provides a 3D microstructure as an attachment site for osteoblasts to accelerate bone healing. This study aimed to determine the effect of gelatin extract of mackerel bone (Rastrelliger sp.) on the number of osteoblast cells on the healing of mandibular bone of wistar strain rats. This type of research is experimental in vivo with post-test only control group design. The sample of this study used 24 male wistar rats which were divided into 3 treatment groups, namely mackerel bone gelatin extract, positive control (FDBX Batan), negative dick. Observation of the number of osteoblast cells was observed on the 14th and 21st days. The results of the data obtained were analyzed using the One Way ANOVA test which showed that there was a significant difference in the number of osteoblasts among the mackerel bone gelatin extract group, positive control (FDBX Batan), and negative control on days 14 and 21 with p value = 0.014. and p= 0.032 (p<0.05). Giving mackerel bone gelatin extract, can increase the average number of osteoblast cells in the healing of madnibular bone of wistar strain rats.
