Dampak Paparan Sinar Matahari pada Nelayan Tradisional dan Program Perlindungan pada Himpunan Nelayan Seluruh Indonesia (HNSI) di Desa Percut Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

The tradisional fishermen in village, of Percut, sub district of Percut Sei Tuan, District of Deli Serdang is constantly exposure whit sun light, the sun light is very beneficial for life, but also it can bear some impact on health as change in colors of skin (skin discoloration), earlier aging and skin cancer, and there is no protective attempts from several parties including from HNSI (Indonesian Fishermen Association). The objective of this research is to know the impact of sun light on traditional fishermen and protective program on HNSI in village of Percut Sei, sub district of Percut Sei Tuan, District of Deli Serdang. It is a descriptive analysis on 153 traditional fishem1en in village of Percut, sub district of Percut Sei Tuan, district of Deli Serdang. ]50 fishermen (98,1%) have experienced the skin discoloration, 143 fishermen (93,5%) experienced the earlier aging and a fishermen with skin cancer. There is no protective attempt on health made by health agency, .labor service and transmigration and also from HNSI (Indonesia Fishermen Association) in traditional fishermen in village extension, education and training, delivery of protective tools, and not c1,ll workers are included in Labor social security program. · The proposal of health protection is more emphasized on preventive measures compared to curative measure. The protection program proposed to HNSI (Indonesia Fishermen Association) is to give the education-training program regarding the safety and security (K3), health check for skin and general diseases three or six months of interval, delivery of self-protective tools (APU) and to include the workers into social security program.
