Identifikasi Sistem Budidaya Tembakau Deli di PT.Perkebunan Nusantara II-Kebun Helvetia

Abstract

The purpose of this reseach is to analyse the deli tobacco cultivation system at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II (Persero)- Kebun Helvetia and dominant factors, which will happen in the future and will be needed by the stakeholders. Data were collected by survey method through observation, questionaire, interview and expert judgement. In system approach, the evaluation is based on three aspects i.e industrial aspects, environmental aspects and socio-economic aspects. In industrial aspects, the demand of cigaretes industry is still high. In environmental aspects analysis, the change of environment quality at Helvetia was happened i.e the land and water contained organic material of < 2% and khlor (Cl) of 37,45 ppm was found in water of Bederak river. Whereas in socioeconomic aspects, the presence of change of society socio-economic view concerning existence of deli tobacco cultivation system at Helvetia. The results will be shown in structure causal-loop diagram, interpreted in blackbox diagram, that will be used for designing the model structure of deli tobacco cultivation system.
