| dc.description.abstract | The environtment in Indonesia is a gift from the almighty Allah to the people of Indonesia. It is a blessed gift that must be preserved and developed in order to maintain sustainable natural resources to help increase livelihood capacity and living standart for the communities including other creatures in the ecosystem. The tourism activities that utilize the environment as the key object and tourist attraction are made to improve the welfare of the people in an attempt to achieve just and prosperous community through tourism activities. The tourism does not only give positive impact but it also has risks including pollution and depletion to the environment. Some ways to conserve the environment is by managing the environment which is an integrated effort to conserve the ecological function which is mainly aimed for policy development, utilization, development, protection, recovery, and control to the environment. The environment management requires an integrated system as the main characteristic. One of the management is trough the ecotourism development which is one of the natural resources management model that support the environment by integrating natural resource conservation and tourism. Ecotourism as an integral part of the tourism grows with more concerns on the environment, economy, and social development. Therefore, the ecotourism activities always set its priority to provide support to natural resource conservation, economy, development, and cominity empowerment to local communities. Pointed out that the principle of the environment management by humans is how the humans make efforts to improve the living standard while the quality of the environment is continuously preserved. | en_US |
